Travel Demand Management (TDM) is a set of strategies that aid in more effectively using the existing resources and infrastructure of a transportation system.


TDM programs can help reduce the demand for parking and the number of cars on campus by offering viable alternatives.

Rutgers University is also a member of Keep Middlesex Moving (KMM) KMM is the Transportation Management Association for Middlesex County and works with Rutgers University to help generate TDM solutions and to promote programs such as carpooling, vanpooling, mass transit, and telecommuting.
